Downderry: Cliffs To The East – Fine Art Print

This was a day of mist and sun breaking through at Downderry in Cornwall. So there was great contrast between the cool bluish colours of the mist and the warmer colours of the cliff. It was very atmospheric, especially when the sun began to break through to the west, creating a warm yellowish area in a grey sky and reflecting metallically off the waves.

To reach these cliffs you have to walk eastwards from Downderry. It isn’t far before the low crumbling cliffs that front the beach at the village suddenly rise up very high and proud – and totally unexpectedly too the first time you go there. The rock these cliffs and the outcrops at their feet are made of is a slatey silver-green, very attractive, especially where it contrasts with the green-gold of vegetation and lichens.

This is a giclee fine art print which has been hand-signed and individually numbered by Lawrence Dyer, the artist. It is mounted in a cream mount, ready for you to frame. This is a limited edition fine art print numbering only 195 pieces.
