Crooklets Beach at Bude in North Cornwall is popular with surfers as there is a wide sweep of open sea between the rocky outcrops to either side. It is reached by driving up the main street of Bude as far as the bank then turning left. There is adequate parking and facilities. Popular also with families with young children, but beware the incoming tide and the big rock formations.

This painting depicts a beautiful sunset sky, brilliant against the fading darkness of the beach itself, which is hard to see until yours eyes adjust again once you have been looking at the sky.
