Budleigh Salterton waves

Budleigh Salterton’s Soothing Waves

‘Budleigh Salterton’s Soothing Waves’ is a limited edition art print of an oil painting by Lawrence Dyer.

This seascape depicts the cliffs to the west of Budleigh, with the town itself just out of view to the right of the image. Notably, Budleigh’s well-known cobble beach is clearly visible in the foreground! Budleigh is a place popular with both visitors and retirees for its mild climate and varied scenery. Apart from the dramatic red rock of the cliffs (which are too far away to reveal their redness in the painting) there is also a large area of marshland teeming with waterfowl.

I love to walk out away from Budleigh town along the shore in either direction, as soon you encounter complete wildness and you cannot imagine that you are really so close to civilization. Out there you won’t encounter many other people and it gives me some of the best opportunities to immerse myself in the changing light and tide to produce art – and ultimately this print – to the best of my ability.

The print you are buying is a high quality product printed on archival paper and mounted in an off-white mount. It will be hand-signed and individually numbered by the artist himself.

Please note that any web address visible in the image on this page will not appear on your seascape print.
